What is one of your hidden talents?
As an ECA supply staff member, I excel in organizing and facilitating engaging activities for students outside of regular classes. I assist in setting up events, ensuring they run smoothly, and supporting students in exploring their interests and hobbies.
What inspires you?
Family serves as a powerful source of inspiration for me. Their love, support, and encouragement drive me to pursue my goals and overcome challenges. They provide a sense of belonging and purpose, fostering personal growth and resilience.
What makes a ‘good day’ at a childcare centre?
A good day at a childcare centre is when children are happy, engaged, and learning in a safe and supportive environment. It’s about fostering positive relationships and creating an atmosphere where children can thrive.
What’s the best/worst thing about being a childcare worker (RECE or Assistant)?
Best: The opportunity to nurture children’s development and form meaningful bonds with them.
Worst: The physical exhaustion, emotional strain, low pay, and limited recognition.
How do you remember all of the children’s names?
By looking at their pictures regularly, which helps me associate names with faces.
If you could take the children on a field trip to anywhere in the world, where would you take them?
In Canada, I would take the children to Banff National Park. It’s a fascinating destination offering immersive nature experiences and valuable outdoor learning opportunities.
